About Us

Kaleidoscope Publications were founded in 1996 by Alexa Apostolaki and Eleni Stambogli.

They have been publishing high quality picture books, environmental activity packs, children’s and adult literature as well as an array of educational books, mainly in the fields of Museum Studies, Public Archaeology and Child Psychology.

To reflect the endless combination of colors and shapes revealed through its books, the company’s logo depicts a kaleidoscopic grid. Kaleidoscope Publications are the Greek language publishers for the internationally acclaimed Eric Carle books.

Other foreign authors and illustrators include prize winners Gianni Rodari, Gerald Durrell, Robert Ingpen, Roberto Innocenti and Kveta Pacovska.

Publishers of many children’s museum guides, activity packs, environmental kits, Kaleidoscope address a wide network of educators and teachers who seek inspiration and assistance with their work in both formal and informal learning environments.

Many distringuished Greek authors such as Katia Gerou, Argyro Pipini, Kyriakos Katzourakis, Eleni Svoronou, Christina Fragheskaki, Gregory Chaliakopoulos, Vassilis Kremmydas, Nena Galanidou feature in its catalogue.

At Kaleidoscope we also aim at promoting young, promising illustrators. Working closely together, we strive to produce picture books that meet the highest standards, true to our founding principle of “producing books that are a joy to read”.
