A new business initiative

From time immemorial, "Minoan" has been used to refer to the legendary life and times of King Minos, the Labyrinth, the places and people of pre-historic Crete.

The MINOAN WORLD series presents a variety of elegantly designed everyday products, infused with the artistic flair of the Minoans. Contemporary design meets age old motifs found on minoan frescoes, artifacts, jewelery and pottery in the palaces of Knossos, Festos, Zakros and Malia. The minoan civilization flourished more than 4000 years ago and came to dominate the islands of all the Aegean. It was a culture that sought to broaden its horizons, to celebrate life, to glory nature.

The MINOAN WORLD series is a business initiative which involves a number of small, specialised greek companies and entrepreneurs: designers, manufacturers, printers, publishers, marketeers. Working as a team, they aim to supercede current adverse conditions in Greece, by striving to export greek culture as a highly competive product while helping to maintain jobs.

The MINOAN WORLD series business initiative was designed and developed by Kaleidoscope Publications. Building on a strong tradition of corporate social responsibility, it is our goal to allocate a percentage of the MINOAN series sales, to humanitarian initiatives coordinated by the Church of Crete.
